Telegram
Telegram is how you sign in and talk to Quill.
- Quill keeps your Telegram id, the messages and voice notes you send it, and their transcripts.
- It reads your first name, username, and profile photo, so the web pages show who is signed in.
- It only writes to you in your chat with @HeyQuillBot. It never sees your phone number or your other chats.
To stop, block the bot in Telegram. To have your data deleted, see Privacy.
X
When you connect X, Quill asks permission to:
- Read your posts and profile, so it learns how you write and reads how each post does.
- Post for you, with images and videos, and stay connected without asking again.
- Read your bookmarks and who you follow, to find what works in your field.
- Read replies and mentions of you, to suggest replies worth sending.
Quill posts only the drafts you approve, at the time you pick. It never likes, follows, or sends messages for you. A reply to someone else goes out only when you pick it in a round of replies.
Disconnect X from the You page. Quill revokes its own access at X, and any scheduled X posts go back to your drafts.
When you connect LinkedIn, Quill asks permission to:
- Sign in with LinkedIn, which shares your name, photo, and email address. Quill keeps the name and photo to show the account.
- Post for you.
- Read how your posts do, once LinkedIn allows Quill to ask.
Quill reads your public posts and follower count from the profile address you give it, through Apify, to learn how you write and how you grow. It posts only the drafts you approve, at the time you pick.
Disconnect LinkedIn from the You page. Quill deletes its copy of your key, forgets your LinkedIn name and photo, and moves any scheduled LinkedIn posts back to your drafts. LinkedIn doesn't let apps revoke their own access, so to remove Quill there too, use Permitted services in LinkedIn's data privacy settings.
GitHub
GitHub is optional, for people who ship code. Quill's GitHub app is installed on the repositories you choose.
- GitHub tells Quill when you push code or merge a pull request in those repositories, with a short summary of the change.
- On Sundays the build log drafts a post about what you shipped. You approve it like any other post.
- Quill only reads. It never changes your code.
To disconnect, uninstall Quill from your GitHub settings, under Applications. The You page links there.
